of the core curriculum? is that something certainly the obama administration has been pushing. is that something you support? >> yeah. there's been a lot of confusion, i would say sometimes misinformation about the common core. but it's a far more rigorous standard than what has been used in most of the states. it allows states to pool resources for people like khan academy to cater to more folks. it's much more about the conceptual understanding of core ideas as to opposed to going through a superficial way many ideas. modelled over standards like singapore. so i think it's a positive. >> so what needs time prove ho here? clearly it's not just an issue of money i assume? >> no. not just an issue of money. and at the kahn academy we try to take a step back. it is interesting to look at the pisa scores, to see where these countries rank. but it's also important to kind of take a step back from that. because even while our scores have kind of been middling and sometimes declining up, the level of innovation in the u.s. has been accelerating. if you asked anyone in the world what
. let's take a look at how each is doing. relatively speaking it was a good week for the obama administration. positive economic numbers and, as expected, there were ongoing improvements in the health care website. >> i understand why people would have been resistant to going on a website that wasn't working right. and, fortunately, because of some very hard work, we've now got it to the point where for the vast majority of people it's working well. >> the center for medicare and medicaid services announced on friday this past week more than 3.7 million people visited healthcare.gov. the error rate is down from one in four to one in ten. so as expected, progress is being made and more people are able to join and get access to health care. okay. so reince priebus and the gop had a little bit more time for their reboot. you'll recall they initially announced findings of the growth and opportunity project back in march. well, here's what they said they needed to change. quote, the republican party must focus its efforts to earn new supporters and voters in the follows demographic
" bugs playing healthcare.gov enrollment. if you listen to the obama administration, it's running fine, thank you very much. the paper reports if you signed up for a health care plan using the federal exchange there's a good chance you might not be actually enrolled. one third of the applications may contain errors that will prevent the applications from being processed. that's chaos. today the president begins a new push to highlight all that's good about obamacare. 2:30 eastern he speaks. time is money and headlines here they come. they're all tech related. and according to a new report we find out what the mystery google barges are for and that the barges will be retail locations to sell in market, google glass. three in total. travel up and down the east and west coast. on-line is king, cyber monday sales at amazon up 44% year over year, ebay up 32%. and big money on-line shopping. question, what happens to the malls now? apple makes a play on twitter, buying up a firm that analyzes tweets. how much? a cool $200 million. and ups says, it, too, is working on a drone delivery system.
and liberal kids, the obama administration pocketed $41 billion in interest of these loans as they said we are going to get rid of them, vote for me, you can't have it both ways, making tons of money. >> they continue to vote for these policies. never have we seen again degeneration so immediately affected by the policies they voted for themselves twice. you saw young people vote for obama and now they're being negatively affected by the same policies almost immediately. stuart: isn't it obvious kids in college saddled with massive debt and don't have a good job probably when they walk out university boards. are they not beginning to see politics in a different light? >> that would be the common sense way of looking at it but on college campuses we see politicians frame it in ways of social issues. that is the way it was in the election cycle but these young people in 2012, look at obamacare. we see policies so quickly turned against the generation that voted for them in 2012 and you would think i voted in 2004 obama. and the turnaround in 2012 and looking to the student loans? there pushe
